what is the diagnosis for the prescription of sleeping pills and anti-depressants in teenagers.
do they try not to prescribe them to young teens? [aged 14ish]

I’m not sure for a 14 year old they would do any sleeping pills. But again I’m no doctor! I’m on Lexapro and Ambien for depression and unable to sleep. Ambien is a dream! I highly suggest it!

It tells you which symptoms to fake, usually something like "8 out of the following 12"
Dont be a newby and fake all 12 symptoms or it is a give-away that you read the DSM, and they’ll know you’re lying.
Instead, do the smartest thing which is score a 7.5, so that the doctor will believe you’re neither a definite score, nor an indefinite.
They’ll be sympathetic and actually believe you suffer from the said disease.
Also, dont over-emphasize or sound rehearsed.

Yes, most reputable doctors will try everything else before writing a sleep aid scrip for teens. Two good reasons: 1. Teens are notorious for abusing such drugs and 2. Teens can usually get over insomnia by getting to the root cause.
Some usual causes are:
You have your days and nights mixed up, staying up too late at night.
You don’t get enough exercise. Exercise is wonderful stuff and will help your mood, self-esteem and everything. You will sleep more soundly if you’re physically tired. Ride a bike, work out with weights or help your neighbor mow his yard.
You get too much sugar and caffeine during the day. Try getting off sugary, caffeinated drinks, especially. Drink water, chamomile tea with a bit of honey, apple juice, carrot juice. At night, drink skim milk.

never take any sleeping pill, try chamomille, it is these pretty flowers and you make a tea with it, its very relaxing just to look at, also shut off the tv and try staying away from the internet, you will feel better
