Sleep problems need advice and help falling asleep w/out pills?
I have problems sleeping at night and it is to the point that sleeping pills don’t work anymore. To be honest I don’t want to have to depend on them. What are some things I can do to help me fall asleep at night? I have no trouble staying asleep its just falling asleep. I don’t drink soda anymore and only drink water after 5pm I don’t eat chocolate at all (I’m vegetarian) I just have a hard time falling asleep

You’ve probably done all the simple advice:
1) The bedroom is only for sleeping, no TV or reading, etc.
2) Turn out all the lights about an hour before bed
3) Wake up at the same time each morning….
Here’s an extreme tip: Get a foot bath and fill it with ice water. Dunk your feet in for about 20 seconds then climb into bed. You trick your body into thinking you’re going into hypothermia and you fall asleep.
my friend has this problem, have you tried any minty stuff before bed, like peppermint herbal tea?
i also hear smelling lavender is relaxing as well, but i hate the way that stuff smells, if you like it try smelling that.
try doing a lot of exercise, i find i sleep better when i exercise.
good luck, it really stinks when you can’t sleep, and pills no longer help
