Perhaps you can find some useful information in a web search for "getting a good night’s sleep".
Warm milk tends to make you sleepy. Also, putting yourself in a dark room tends to make you really tired, and may help you fall alseep quicker (I’d say about 20 mins.) The reason for this is because it kind of tricks the brain into thinking that it’s time for bed, and in turn you will start feeling tired and sleepy.
Go to the gym in the evenings. Eat right, prior to bed time read a book or magazine of non interest. Make certain your room is comfy, clean and tv OFF.
Avoid alcohol before bed. It makes you fall asleep more easily, but it wakes you up a while later.
The best thing I know is exercise. Don’t do it too close to bedtime, but about 5 hours before you want to sleep. After a while, it will really help you a lot, both to get to sleep and to stay asleep.
Avoid having too much caffeine throughout the day, and especially at night. A cup or two of coffee earlier in the day is probably okay, unless you are highly sensitive to it.
Look kid.
I have been a doctor for 8 years now.
So i know allot about the body.
Knowing about the body can teach you ways to fall asleep.
Just take a big breath in.
Focus on your breathing don’t think of anything.
And close your eyes.
Don’t move.
And don’t talk.
And you will feel relaxation and your body will get tired and fall asleep.
Tea is very calming before hand.
Don’t watch TV or go on the computer before hand.
The lights effect you falling asleep.
What I do is I drink three glasses of water (even if I’m not thirsty), go upstairs, close my door, turn on the fan, have it completely dark, open the window a crack, do a couple of crunches so I don’t have a jiggling massacre of a stomach once I wake up, get into be, pull the covers over my body, and sleep on my stomach. That’s how I do it. Hope it helps
