How many hours before you go to bed/sleep is it safe to exercise without it negatively affecting sleep?

people say that you cant exercise close to bed/sleep time or it will make it much more difficult to sleep. so say if i go to bed/sleep at 10.30, when is the latest time before then when it wont affect my ability to sleep?

It depends on the person. It could be vary between people but I think it’s safe to say it’s about 1-2 hours. When do you get sleepy (or want to rest) after doing sports?
But don’t forget that you do need sleep after sports so that your body could recover/build itself. Lack of sleep after sport is very bad.
I usually doing sports at the morning so it never affect my sleeping habit (although several hours later, I feel sleepy for about several hours).
I used to do running after midnight, and went to bed about 30 minutes after my cooldown and shower afterwards. I slept pretty well too, fell asleep fast and rested soundly all night.
normally, u shouldn’t exercise at least 2-4 hrs before bedtime…that’s what most doctors recommend on various magazines/ books that i have come across so far.
id say around four hours
