I just got my first overnight job. Ill be working Mon-Thurs 11pm-930am. Whats the best way to make it so I can adjust my sleep so I can sleep during the day and then sleep at night on the weekends?

My uncle works in the emergency room of a California hospital. He started off on-call and this really messed up his sleep schedules.
I would make sure that there is no/very little light in your room when you’re trying to sleep during the day, and if you have trouble take Melatonin which is very important to your circadian rhythms one of which is sleep/wake and several other important biological functions.
On the weekends you’re on your own. There is really no way to sleep at 12noon one day, and then 11pm the other. Our bodies aren’t meant to be able to sleep on demand. You might have to learn to be a night person, or perhaps you should just sacrifice a little sleep during the weekends to do the things you want to do (assuming your friends don’t sleep during the days too).

Takes time and patients, you’ll get it.
go to bed late the night before, then wake up early. then at around 5, take a nap for 2-3 hours. to get back to sleeping at night, when you come off work go to sleep but wake up at around 2-ish. then you should be able to sleep for the night.
I think about the patient that the time will make you accustome to frequency of this.
