If both of you are snoring loudly and throughout the night then you should see a doctor, because most people who snore badly don't realize they have a sleeping disorder that is unhealthy. Regular snoring should be like a kitten's purr and only last for a while. Loud, constant snoring is caused by an obstruction in the air passageway which interrupts the sleep cycle. Typically if you turn the person to their side or belly the snoring should stop cuz it opens up the airways. Best to ask your doctor about it at the next physical.

i usually try to shift over myself and that usually gets him to roll over. don't let him sleep on his back, that's when it's worst. you could also try some "breath right" strips, they might work.

radiocrows answer makes sense. A sleep apnea study is painless and could be valuable. Some people wear a device called CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) while sleeping, and have had great results.
