was asleep on the floor with her eyes kind of open, open enough so I could see… her eyes moving back and forth. She was completely asleep and in REM sleep. Do dogs dream? What can they be dreaming of?
I’ve been feeling depressed since the beginning of summer 2008 and it’s been getting worse recently and I’ve noticed I’m recalling my dreams more often. I think when my depression was really bad a few months ago I recalled several of my dreams, also.
Do you know or have you heard anything about depression and dreams being related?
I recall reading somewhere that REM sleep replenishes either neurons or neurotransmitters (I can’t remember.) Or I may be mistaken and just confusing REM with something else.
how long could a person go without reaching rem sleep without being considered mentaly incapasitated?

i have maybe reached rem sleep in the last six months 9 times i do not dream i try to take over the counter medications and thay all are benidrill and that drug has no effect on me, i tryed to attend a sleep study to find out what is wrong but there were too manny gadgets hooked up to me and i could not even fall into a light sleep.
I never seen my cat moogie go into rem sleep. Just wonder if cats go into rem sleep.

I was told by a non professional that Oxycontin blocks the deep REM sleep cycle needed for restful recovering sleep. Wondering if its true.
my baby is a week and a half old. sometimes when he sleeps he will breathe very fast and heavy. i have heard of rem sleep and think this is what he is doing because sometimes he will also make faces and roll his eyes around. anyone else ever saw their baby do this or breathe rapidly in sleep?
I’ve had 2 sleep studies done, no answers other than a bit of Restless Leg Syndrome, I’ve used sleeping pills, I was still exhausted in the day. I can sleep any time of the day, I’m always so tired and lethargic. Any help is appreciated
