i took a regular dosage of melatonin and i didn’t feel any more tired and actually felt a little more apt at articulating and visualizing, and had racing thoughts to the point where it felt like i was consistantly thinking/dreaming/waking up randomly throughout the entire night. i woke up feeling surprisingly rested, but like my head had been through a sort of marathon. any idea why this could have happened?

Most nights I sleep 6-7 hours. I start school soon, and I really want to get better sleep so I can focus better. What can I do to make sure I sleep better? What times should I go to bed?

Are there dangerous (or any) side effects on your health if you take sleeping pills like, everyday?
Besides the addiction. I’m looking more for the specifics of the health risks on your body caused by taking the chemical in sleeping pills. Like drinking too much does certain things to your liver, smoking causes symptoms in your lungs, etc.
I’m not asking how to fall asleep.

I’ve had arthiritis in most joints since I was 10, I’m now 30. I’ve been suffering with other symtoms lately, including severe tiredness, muscle pain, insomnia and very severe bruising, pain and swelling on my knees, wrists, elbows and ankles. I’ve had tests with my Reumatology consultant and he said I also have Fibromyalgia. I don’t know a great deal about this, does anyone else have this; I’d love a bit of advice on how to find relief. Many thanks.

I’m 20 years old and I have a sleeping problem. I can sleep a 13 hour night and I am still dead tired only a couple hours later, and I go back to sleep, i just can’t get enough. I always want to lay down and I can’t even get a job because of htis. I’m always tired. I take Celexa for anxiety, but that’s it. This has been going on for the past few months. I would go to the doctor but I don’t have insurance, so do you have any ideas?
I have been taking celexa forever, i’ve never had this, i’m sure it’s not from that

I have major problems sleeping at night. I can never fall asleep till like at least 4 am. I also have school in the morning and work in the afternoon. I think this has severe effects on my life and influences my behavior through out the day. Anybody have any tips or know any good websites that can help me? Sleeping pills just ain’t doing it for me because i start to become dependent on them. I want to try and fall asleep naturally.

How old is your baby?
How do you get him/her to fall asleep? Do you swaddle, rock, use swing, etc?
Are they crying while you’re doing this?

Also, how do I learn the mental discipline to avoid the computer? My family needs it and it’s not possible to just get rid of it since I need it as well.
Doing these things seem to give me this magical energy that keeps me awake, like a second wind.
I haven’t had a good NIGHT (where I really sleep well at NIGHT) sleep in months. I have slept well during the day (which I would like to change to night), but NOT at night.

I sleep fine normally, but when anything exciting is going on the next day… like most people it’s hard for me to fall asleep but the difference for me is i NEVER eventually fall asleep… i stay up all night no matter what i do……
i want a safe sleeping pill i can take only on certain occasions…. one that doesn’t make you sick or feel drunk or anything……
plus are there any other ways to make myself sleep without pills?
