He doesn’t have fleas right now… he is itching from the rash due to flea bits. I have been bathing and treating and got the fleas under control now we have the rash.

Why do I have sleeping problems laying down?

Every night i try to sleep and it takes me a while to fall asleep. Sometimes in the night time i wake up. In the mornings i feel like a zombie and can’t do anything, but sometimes when i am in school i can fall asleep with no problem when I am sitting upright in my desk or when i am on a couch just sitting on it instead of laying down. Why is this happening? i just want to sleep normally

There are just some things that I want from life, but sometimes I have my doubts in making my dreams come true. Sometimes I believe that I am kidding myself, that there’s no way I’d get what I want.I believe I dream to BIG. How do I have faith in myself? How to never give up no matter what happens?

I never ever sleep. It’s so hard for me to fall asleep even when I’m super tired. I found some ambien in my mom’s bathroom and it’s only those little sample tabs that doctors give you, I guess. Anyway, there’s two 12.5 mg tablets and I was wondering if it’d hurt me in any way if I took one tonight.
Also, i’m 19, if that makes a difference.

Most days I’ll feel a little tired as the day goes on like most people. My eyes get tired and I can feel my brain slowly reacting slower. However as soon as I get in bed, I’m fully awake. I’ll toss and turn, try and lay still, do little workouts in bed to try and make myself feel tired, but I just cannot. It normally takes about one to two hours to get me to go to sleep.

On the flip side, if I lay down to take a nap during the day, I have no trouble whatsoever falling asleep. I’ll lay down and fall asleep within five minutes. The only difference between the settings in both times is the lighting outside, but I’ve tried turning on a night light at night to see if it helped me fall asleep but it just made me stay awake longer.

Recently over the past month things have gotten worse. I normally fall asleep around 2am and wake up around 10/11am feeling fully awake. But since I got out of school in december I’ve started sleeping later. I normally go to bed around 3am and wake up around 1/2pm, but instead of waking up well-rested, I wake up dead tired and sometimes sick. I’ve tried setting my alarm so I only get 7-8 hours of sleep, but I still wake up extremely tired.

Another problem I’m having while I try falling asleep at night is that my eyes open while I’m trying to fall asleep. It started happening around the same time my over sleeping problem started. While I try and fall asleep I’ll notice that my eyes slowly feel like they’re opening, yet I don’t visually notice the difference. When I put my hand up to my eyes, I can feel them half open. I now have to focus on putting pressure on my eyes to keep them closed rather than just having them close on their own.

What could be the cause of all of these problems?

What exactly is the story behind REM’s song…?

What’s the frequency, Kenneth? And do the lyrics relate to the story?

3 psychology questions?

1.) Brian is sleep deprived, so he enters sleep at REM and skips over the previous sleep stages. Predict what would happen if he does this often.

He would have to catch up on sleep every day.

He would need to get back to his regular sleep schedule.

He wouldn’t get the benefits of REM sleep.

He would sleep very lightly and would be easily awakened.

2.) Which of the following provides the strongest evidence that nonhuman animals dream?

Recordings of brain activity show that nonhuman animals undergo REM sleep.

Recordings of brain activity show that nonhuman animals register alpha brain waves.

Nonhuman animals need consistent sleeping patterns and require a specific amount of sleep.

Observations of nonhuman animals sleeping show movement of the eyes and legs.

3.) Often when we are woken in the first cycle of stage 2 of sleep, we feel even groggier than we did before we fell asleep. Which of the following reasons best explains this experience?

We skipped over stage 1, when the brain transitions from alpha to theta waves and starts to wake up.

We did not reach the deepest sleep stages of stage 3 and stage 4.

We did not get to the REM stage, when our brains and bodies get energy.

We are still stuck in stage 2, when the brain produces bursts of rapid, rhythmic brain wave activity known as sleep spindles.

I got mine four years ago but have not had an additional night at the sleep lab since then. Is this something that needs to be periodically monitored or should I just let sleeping (snoring?) dogs lie?

If she is already taking inhaled steroid inhalers, regular inhalers, etc., is there anything else a pregnant woman can take to help allergic asthma and allergic reactions in serious cases? Can she take a small dose of an antihistamine such as Benadryl to help her get relief from symptoms?

Do dreams occur only in REM sleep stage or in all stages of sleep?

I went to my doctor today and she doesnt think I suffer from depression anymore. She thinks I have bipolar disorder but didnt really explain it to me. I just feel kind of confused.

I understand that dreaming occurs in REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. However, it has happened that I’ve started dreaming (I know it was dreaming because the dream was ludicrous) when only napping for about a half hour or so. And REM sleep only makes up a small fraction of your sleep cycle near the end of your sleep. Does anyone know why this happens?
