I am in pain! I already know that I have mild scoliosis, with my back looking like an ‘S’ both front to back and side to side on x-ray, and I’ve been to three chiropractors over the past twenty years with moderate success. Now, at age 47, I suffer from very bad upper back and neck pain, stiffness and muscle spasms, and I have pain in my right hip and knee joints that is occasional but pretty bad when it hits. I have chronic insomnia for thirteen years that has been drug resistant, and this discomfort only adds to it. I’m not adverse to alternative medicine, but I need something that’s going to give me some quick relief!
Every time I eat, I almost HAVE to sleep about an hour later. Is there something I can do to avoid that happening? Like, eating or drinking something specific to maintain a steady blood sugar ratio? Or types of foods that specifically cause it and should be avoided (although obviously I cant always do that!).
Excluding going to bed earlier, reading before bed, and listening to calming music because i’ve already tried all of the above.
I really need to be asleep but I’m just not tired

My sister just got a prescription for Ambien, and she was all pleased to hear that the effects can be increased with alcohol use, so she now want to take it with a glass or two of wine.
While I havn’t heard of that amount being able to kill you, I’m still concerned.
Note: She’s not planning to get very drunk, or take more Ambien than prescribd. She just wants to "enhance" it with some wine. What would this do? What would she feel?

I have been having repeated dreams of committing suicide. The dreams don’t actually involve the final event of pulling the trigger, but they do involve holding a gun to my head.
I’m waking up to these dreams and they are interfering with my ability to get a good nights rest.
I have a therapist and a psychiatrist. I also am on anti-depressants already.
Last night I slept like a baby with a sedative. The night before I slept like a person on death row. I need more nights like last night. But they are few and far between. There has to be something that causes these great sleep nights to occur-hopefully.
I didn’t take a sedative – that was just a simile. I’ve never taken a sedative sorry for the confusion.
I think I may have a sleep disorder but it isn’t insomnia cause I can sleep its just I"M sleeping all the time. Once I get up I want to go back to sleep. Then I end up sleep the whole day even if I’ve sleep the night before. Is there an name for a sleep disorder like that??
I recently had 3 teeth removed and was prescribed Acetaminophen-Cod #3. I was told to take it every 4 to 6 hours, or as needed.
It makes me drowsy and weak. I was just wondering if anyone knew a way to reduce or prevent the drowsiness?
If not, I could just stop taking them, but my mouth is very sore and I would like to be awake.
